Salons take place the third Sunday of the month in NYC. Invitations go out via the newsletter.
You'll RSVP to attend, and can expect:
- an opportunity for you, or your friends who have asked about it, to view the v-book;
- a space to pose questions, be heard, incubate ideas, just listen;
- an inquiry into vagina, vulva & body-related topics: our relationships with our bodies & with each other's;
- respect for each other's opinions, experiences and beliefs;
that some of the salons will be just for women;
- that the salon experience and format will change over time & no two will be the same.
A confirmation email from me to you is required in order to attend.
Here's an example of a salon program schedule:
3:00 - 3:30 pm: We'll say hello, view the v-book, check
out what I'm painting, each in our way, we'll settle in.
3:30 - 3:40 pm: I'll introduce the topic.
3:40 - 5:00 pm: We'll discuss, debate, delight, get
disgruntled, listen, question <- your choice.
5:00 - 5:30 pm: We'll wind down: so, how was that? what
do you think? how do you feel now? did we come to any
conclusions or consensus, I wonder? do we want to take
this further and how?
5:30 - 6:00 pm: We'll disengage, float, exchange contact
info if you like, say good-bye & thank you for participating!
